ALEXANDRIA FRADY
Alexandria Frady’s work has been shaped by the places she has lived, each leaving a lasting impression and helping her grow as an artist. Born in Tokyo, she spent her childhood in Japan, New Hampshire and Southern California. She has spent the last five years in the scenic Columbia Gorge region of Oregon, where she drew much of her inspiration from Mt Hood (Wy’East) and the Columbia River. She now finds herself in New York’s Hudson Valley, an area with its own wealth of stunning scenery to inspire her next piece.
Primarily working with acrylic paint on canvas, Alexandria creates colorful landscapes of the picturesque views she has experienced. While her earlier work focused more on nude figurative pieces, the shift to landscapes came after being exposed to the breathtaking views that Oregon had to offer. She captures the feeling of a place by bringing together vibrant colors and shapes, creating a unique style that offers a fresh take on familiar scenery.
